به گزارش خبرنگار بردباری نیوز، دکتر محمد حسن صاحبی حق از اعضای هیئت علمی و محققین دانشگاه علوم پزشکی تبریز با اشاره به تحقیق صورت گرفته با عنوان میزان مواجه با دود محیطی سیگار در دانش آموزان دوره اول دبیرستان شهر ملکان و ارتباط آن با شاخص توده بدنی خود تنظیم تحصیلی و پیشرفت تحصیلی گفت:بیش از یک میلیارد نفر در دنیا سیگار مصرف می کنند اما این موضوع قابلیت پیشگیری دارد.
وی با اشاره به اینکه طبق آمار جهانی مصرف سیگار در کشورهای توسعه یافته در حال کاهش است گفت: متاسفانه برخلاف دنیا مصرف سیگار در کشور ما روند افزایشی دارد و شاهد هستیم که در دانش‌آموزان نیست این موضوع رواج یافته است.
وی گفت : هر دانش آموز در ۲۴ ساعت بطور متوسط نیم ساعت در معرض دود محیطی سیگار قرار دارد.
این محقق دانشگاه با اشاره به اینکه دود سیگار به سه نوع تقسیم می‌شود افزود: نوع اول خود فرد که دود سیگار را استشمام می کند،دوم افرادی که در هنگام استفاده از سیگار در معرض هستند وسوم دودی که در محیط می ماند و همه این‌ها برای سلامتی مضر هستند.
وی گفت: در ایران ۱۴ میلیون دانش آموز داریم که حدود ۵۰ درصد از این دانش آموزان در معرض دود محیطی سیگار قرار دارند.
دکتر صاحبی از خانواده‌ها خواست تا به هیچ عنوان در حضور کودکان و نوجوانان اقدام به مصرف سیگار نکنند و افراد سیگاری اتاق مخصوصی برای سیگار داشته باشند تا افراد دیگر و خانواده آنها در معرض دود محیطی سیگار قرار نگیرند
این محقق دانشگاهی با اشاره به ضرورت فرهنگ سازی در خصوص پیشگیری از مصرف سیگار در سنین نوجوانی خاطرنشان کرد: باید مسئله پیشگیری ازصرف دخانیات به عنوان یکی از اصلی‌ترین مسائل مورد توجه سازمان‌ها و متولیان امر قرار گیرد.
